  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing.
