Hot Italian Sub Sliders are a delicious, bite-sized twist on the classic Italian sandwich, perfect for gatherings or quick lunches. These sliders are packed with savory Italian deli meats, melted provolone cheese, and flavorful homemade garlic butter, all baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
Scale:
12 slider rolls (preferably soft white or Italian)
8 ounces sliced provolone cheese
4 ounces sliced salami
4 ounces sliced pepperoni
4 ounces sliced ham
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced pickles (optional)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian herbs (dried oregano, basil, or a mix)
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Layer the salami, pepperoni, and ham evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
Place the provolone cheese slices over the meat layer.
Distribute the shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese. Add pickles if desired.
Place the top halves of the slider rolls over the assembled ingredients and press gently.
Brush the tops of the slider rolls generously with the garlic butter mixture.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve warm.
